Hi poetas & other wordsmiths!

FYI, sorry for the short notice, but if you're in the area:-)

xoxo,
Ching-In

Ching-In Chen and Kat Sanchez

read at the Neighborhood Cup in Aliso Viejo
Tuesday, 11 December 2007
7:30pm (mingle)
the reading starts at 8pm (on the dot)
and goes until 9:30.
Then we eat at Denny's or something.

The Neighborhood cup is located at:
1 Journey
Aliso Viejo
California
United States
The World

or at theneighborhoodcup.com

Mapquest it and find out how to get to the 5 freeway. Then these
directions are relevant:

>From Anywhere, you're going to exit the 5 Freeway at Alicia Pkwy. Then
you'll make a RIGHT and go 2.6mi to Pacific Pkwy where you'll make
another RIGHT. Go 0.7mi down Pacific Pkwy and make a LEFT onto
Journey. Make an immediate right into the first parking lot. The
Neighborhood Cup is not visible from the street but it shares an
address with the Aliso Viejo Public Library which is on the corner of
Journey and Pacific Pkwy.

Here's some info about the excellent features.

Ching-In Chen is the daughter of Chinese immigrants who grew up on Boston's
North Shore. She has organized many community gatherings and worked on
community campaigns including an Asian American open mic in the Bay area for
three years. A Kundiman Fellow, Ching-In recently toured with Mangos With
Chili, a queer and transgendered people of color performance tour. Her
writings have been published in GROWING UP GIRL:VOICES FROM MARGINALIZED
SPACES and HYPHEN MAGAZINE.

Kat Sanchez is currently studying poetry and other forms of creative writing
at UC Riverside. A Pisces, she enjoys ravaging various
languages into creative absurdity, the art of Jeff Soto, coffee,
overdecorating her apartment, moustahces/beards, and myriad other things.
Her first chapbook, "Hangover Junction," is available through Petroglyph
Books ( petroglyphbooks.com).

AND...JANUARY 8TH @ THE NEIGHBORHOOD CUP--
