For grant seekers

California Documentary Project application now available. An online
application for the California Documentary Project is now available on our
website. Applications must be submitted electronically by 5 pm on Mon., Oct.
2. The California Documentary Project supports the work of experienced radio
producers and video- and filmmakers who document contemporary California
life and explore issues of significance to Californians. To access the

California Story Fund update: The guidelines for the California Story Fund,
our grant line supporting public humanities projects that bring to light new
and compelling stories from California's diverse communities, will be posted
on our website on Sept. 29 and an application made available on Jan. 2,
2007. The deadline for submitting applications is Feb. 1, 2007. To find out

Television: "Seasons of Migration," John Bishop's stunning one-hour
documentary on Cambodian music and dance created by Cambodian-born
choreographer Sophiline Cheam Shapiro, will air at 11 pm on Sun., Oct. 1 on
