I’ve spoken with many of you on the subject of Barnyard Theatre, and here’s the promised email sent out over the list serve. The information below is the “cut-and-paste” call for proposals – and the attachment is the official Call and submission form. Playwrights and Theatre Artists!
Call for Original Scripts and Performance Proposals
 
Barnyard Theatre is an emerging theatre company devoted to producing and workshopping original works. We seek new plays and performance proposals for the upcoming summer 2007 season. 
 
For the past three summers, we have staged full-scale new plays in our space, a working barn in Northern California.   We've also presented staged readings as component of script workshop.  Thus far, we've produced or presented works from numerous genres including a musical, a piece of children's theatre, a dark tragiocomic war play, and a serious magical realist tragedy.  This last summer, we placed the audience on a 23-foot turntable. Our company's call for scripts and proposals, therefore, makes neither genre limitations nor technical limitations.
