Hi Chuck,

Amanda handles the listserv. I will forward your request to her. I usually
send the information through e-mail and the address used is
cwgrad-announcements at lists.ucr.edu. Just add that address to the TO: field
and it is sent to the listserv recipients.

>>>Dear Chairs, Graduate Advisors and Graduate Program Assistants,
>>>
>>>I am writing to announce that the Graduate Division is sponsoring a
>>>one-day workshop at UCR on "Recruiting Graduate Students". The workshop
>>>will be conducted by the firm "Graduate and Professional School
>>>Enrollment Management Corporation (GAPSEMC)". The goal of the workshop
>>>will be to learn how to be more successful in the recruitment of more
>>>and better graduate students. As we all know, recruitment of the best
>>>and brightest graduate students is very competitive. Through this
>>>workshop, we will all learn new ways to increase the size of our
>>>applicant pools and how to be successful in the recruitment of more
>>>students from our applicant pools. The topics to be covered in the
>>>workshop and information about GAPSEMC can be found at
>>>http://www.gapsemc.com/oncampus/html/agenda.html. GAPSEMC has held these
>>>workshops on many university campuses, including several UC campuses,
>>>and representatives from many more universities have attended workshops
>>>they hold at various sites around the country.
>>>
>>>The workshop will be held on Thursday, October 19th, most likely from
>>>8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. I realize that some of you have classes on
>>>Thursday, but I urge you to attend, even if you can only attend part of
>>>the workshop.
>>>
>>>I hope there will be representatives from every graduate program. It is
>>>especially important that graduate advisors, members of admissions
>>>committees and graduate program assistants attend. There will be no
>>>charge to you, and this will be an excellent opportunity to learn from
>>>professionals how to be more successful in graduate student
>>>recruiting. The Graduate Division is paying a flat fee to GAPSEMC for
>>>the workshop, so there is no limit to the number that can attend from
>>>each graduate program, so I hope that several from each graduate program
>>>will attend and take advantage of this opportunity.
>>>
>>>We do, however, need to know how many will be attending. GAPSEMC will
>>>be providing a binder workbook for each participant, so they need to
>>>know how many workbooks to prepare. We also need to know the number for
>>>catering. The workshop will start with a continental breakfast and
>>>lunch will be provided.
>>>
>>>More details will be provided as we get closer to the date of the
>>>workshop. In the meantime, please RSVP by Friday, October 6th, to my
>>>assistant, Lina Hernandez (lina.hernandez at ucr.edu) if you plan to attend.
>>>
>>>Thanks for your cooperation, and I look forward to seeing you at the
>>>workshop. This will be a good opportunity to increase our success in
>>>recruiting more and better graduate students.
