PREMIERE SCREENING:  "THE RISE AND FALL OF IRVINE MEADOWS WEST"

Between 2002 and 2004 I lived in a unique and beautiful trailer park at UC
Irvine.  In 2004, the park was paved to make way for a parking lot.  While
living there, I started making a radio documentary about it, and the
project has now morphed into a short documentary film, directed by Robert
McLendon.

Last year the project received a grant from the California Council for the
Humanities that allowed us to finish it.  We're having a screening on
March 11 at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and you are
invited!

The screening will start at 6PM.  The film is about 30 minutes long, and
will be followed by refreshments and a discussion session.  There is no
charge for admission.

Toby Miller, from the English and Film and Visual Culture department at
UCR, is the humanities expert for the project.  He will participate in the
discussion following the film.

If you can make it, *please* RSVP as soon as you can.  We want to make
sure we have enough seats and refreshments for everyone coming.

Also, if you can send us your physical mailing address, we'll send you an
invitation.  Your invitation will guarantee you a seat.
