This series will engage the Cal State Fullerton campus and the larger

Poet, Regents' Professor and Katharine C. Turner Chair in English at Arizona
State University, will offer a craft class in poetry and give a public
reading on Wednesday, April 26.š

2. Memory and Migration: Conversation with Chinese Women Writers

This series brings international and cross-cultural experiences to Cal State
Fullerton and the community. National/international award-winning Chinese
women writers will read from their work and discuss history, memory,
migration, and culture from historical and personal perspectives.

Featuring Chun Yu 
Whose awards include 2006 Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young
People, 2005 Parents Choice Award, and other awards, will read and discuss
her book, Little Green: Growing Up During the Chinese Cultural Revolution
(Simon & Schuster, 2005).
Time: Thursday, April 20, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
 
May 4, 2006
Featuring Yiyun Li
Winner of the 2006 PEN/Hemingway Award and the inaugural Frank O'Connor
International Short Story Award (2005) for her first collection of short
stories, A Thousand Years of Good Prayers (Random House, 2006), will read
and discuss her book. 
Time: Thursday, May 4, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
