Also, I located a helpful AWP link! I admit, it wasn't easy with their new
webpages leading to many blank ends,

Work Exchange

Are you a current student, adjunct professor, or someone needing assistance
to cover the cost of the conference? Sign up to participate in our
work-exchange program for the 2025 AWP Conference & Bookfair on March
26–29, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, and receive a free conference
registration!

AWP welcomes hundreds of incredible volunteers every year. The success of
each conference depends on the commitment and efforts of our work-exchange
participants. In exchange for a short preconference web training session
and four hours of your time on-site, AWP will provide you with a waived
conference registration, which gives you full access to the bookfair and
all conference events.

Sign up below to get involved, meet new people, and help make #AWP25 the
best conference yet!

As a work-exchange participant, there are a variety of roles and
responsibilities you might have. When applying, feel free to indicate which
roles you’d prefer. Conference staff will make their best efforts to assign
you to your preferred role and shift time, though on-site flexibility is
appreciated. Check out some of the roles you might be helping with at
#AWP25 in Los Angeles:

   - Registration line monitors will direct attendees to the correct
   check-in line and open kiosks.
   - Registration kiosk attendants will help attendees print their badges
and report any printer issues to AWP staff.
   - Material distributors will open boxes and restock lanyards and tote
bags at check-in. This role requires some light lifting.
   - Event and room floaters will monitor room capacity, help direct
attendees to their destinations, and report any issues to AWP staff.
   - Accessibility attendants may act as an escort or companion, be a
notetaker, or push a wheelchair for someone with a disability. This
position is ideal for individuals with accessibility experience.

Upon signing up to participate, you will automatically receive a
confirmation email. You will be notified of your specific date, time, and
shift assignment once sign-ups close in early 2025. The deadline to sign up
for the 2025 AWP Work-Exchange Program is February 19, 2025. Make a
difference and sign up to be a much-appreciated work-exchange participant
today!

* 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM PDT*
*Accessibility Tour *

Join AWP conference staff for a tour of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
This tour will cover main event areas of the Los Angeles Convention Center
and will be an opportunity to ask questions about conference accessibility.
This tour is great for someone who would like to get a sense of the
distances between meeting rooms and to plan easiest routes. If you are
unable to make it to this 3:00 p.m. tour, please email ADA at awpwriter.org to
arrange for a different time.

Location: Accessibility Services Desk, West Lobby, Level One, Los Angeles
Convention Center

*Session Code: W103*

I served in the Disability Caucus from its start and for a number of years.
I have found CART extremely helpful for my own HoH experience, including
the ipad for live translation during presentations. Mobility and rest
issues are often place based related, so the tour and be helpful, if you
need or are interested, and have the time. There is a desk to serve as base
for needs and questions.

remarkable:

flattering, but actively invites your audience to get to know you and your
work. Returning for a sixth year at AWP, author photographer Adrianne
Mathiowetz will be offering twenty-minute studio sessions on-site. See your
proof gallery of images immediately; any portrait you choose will be fully
processed and digitally delivered in high resolution for $125. (Conference
discount: In Adrianne’s Boston studio, hour-long portrait sessions with one
image included are priced at $950.) Additional images: $75 each. Fine
processing (spot adjustments beyond usual file preparation): $175/file.
Rush processing: $100/file. Put your best face forward on websites, book
