SmokeLong will start reading entries for The SmokeLong Quarterly Award for
Flash Fiction on February 1. Each year we send a reduced-price entry link
to creative writing professors so that you can forward this to your
students. Please feel free to use the link for yourself if you want.

The grand prize winner of The SmokeLong Quarterly Award for Flash Fiction
is automatically nominated for *Best Small Fictions*, The Pushcart Prize
Anthology, Best of the Net, the O. Henry Award, and any other prize we deem
appropriate. In addition to all this love, we will pay the grand prize
winner $2500. Second place: $1000. Third place $500. Finalists: $150. All
finalists and placers will be published in the special competition issue in
June 2025.
