Hello and Happy New Year!

I lead WEBTOON's University Programs - and wanted to reach out with some
very fun news I thought might be exciting for your students interested in
Comics or related storytelling industries, such as Animation, Illustration,
Writing, or Games!

WEBTOON *- the global leader and pioneer of the mobile web-comic format - *is
excited to announce our 2025 Contest: Webcomic Legends*. *

This is the ultimate opportunity for webcomic creators to showcase their
creativity, captivate audiences, and earn a chance to become an Originals
creator!

We’re looking for creators who push the boundaries of storytelling,
presenting compelling plots and unforgettable characters that resonate with
our global audience.



Prize Pool

With a total prize pool of more than $1 million (USD) in cash prizes, Webcomic
Legends offers substantial rewards for exceptional talent across multiple
Contest stages. Here’s a breakdown of the prize pool:

   - Grand Prize Winner (1): a total of $150,000
   - Genre Winners (3): a total of $100,000 each
   - Genre Finalists (12): a total of $35,000 each
   - Genre Runner-Ups (24): a total of $5,500 each

In addition to monetary prizes, winners in each category will join the
WEBTOON Originals lineup, where they can develop their series into an
ongoing title on the platform.

   - Entries will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges, including some
   WEBTOON Originals creators, and will be judged on key webcomic criteria
   along with audience appeal and engagement.
