Hello SEHE friends,
Please pass these announcements to your students and contacts.

The *UCR Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate Fellowship *applications are due
this coming *Friday, August 29*. The Bonnie Reiss Leading on Climate
Student Fellowship program engages and energizes students in support of
UC’s climate action and sustainable food goals. There are six different
fellowships in Climate Action and Sustainable Food & Agriculture, and each
comes with a $5000 stipend. All enrolled UCR students are eligible (grad
and undergrad), regardless of immigration status.

Also, please see the announcement below for a small grant program for young
people pursuing climate research and action. Applications are due this *Sunday,
August 31*.
Passionate about fighting the climate crisis but in need of financial
support?

💥 Apply for one of KCAF’s 2025 Climate Action grants! 💥

KCAF (Kye’s Climate Action Fund) was founded two years ago to honor the
life and legacy of Kye Moffat, a fierce climate activist and all-star human.

We’re thrilled to share that after a successful pilot, KCAF is launching
our second round of grants to support the badass climate science and policy
work of talented young people. See below for details:

💰 Grant amount: $3k or $10k, depending on your project and financial needs.
💸 Grant type: Unrestricted. We trust you to use the $$ however you see fit!
✅ Eligibility: Under 30 years old, U.S. based, working in either climate
science or climate policy/advocacy, and facing some kind of financial
hurdle.

We strongly believe in the need for diverse perspectives & experiences in
the climate movement, and are equally stoked to support students, interns,
fellows, founders, armchair geologists, and more.

Applications are live and will be open until Sunday, August 31st at 11:59pm
ET. Grants will be disbursed in October. Tell your friends, tell your
crush, tell your climate allies, apply! 🫵
