[Crwt-undergrad-info] Writers Week 2025 happening from May 5 - 8

Dear Undergraduate Creative Writing Students,

This is Josh Emmons and Allison Benis White, professors in the CRWT department, writing to let you know that our flagship event of the year, Writers Week 2025, is happening next month in INTS 1113. The dates are May 5th through 8th, and will feature thirteen readings by fiction writers, poets and nonfiction writers, leading literary luminaries of the day including Jean Guerrero, Xochitl-Julisa Bermejo, Lilliam Rivera, Jennifer Espinoza, Geoffrey Dyer, Steven Shaviro, Jos Charles, Sarah Manguso, Edgar Gomez, Maggie Nelson, Erin Marie Lynch, Blas Falconer, and Bret Anthony Johnston. We’d love to see you at as many events as possible, and this year, for the first time in "the longest-running free literary festival in California”—don’t know why I’m using quotes, because it’s true—we’ll be offering 20 free copies of each speaker’s latest book to you, our undergraduates (so if you see a CRWT grad student try to take one, you can have them arrested [not really, but rest assured it won’t be allowed]). The writers will of course sign and inscribe them to you personally!
