Join us for an evening of inspiration and creativity at *Voices &
Visions—Light Through Darkness *on Thursday, May 9th, at 6 p.m. This unique
event combines visual and performance art to celebrate the journeys and
triumphs of young individuals who have experienced foster care.



Voices & Visions is more than just an art showcase; it's a platform for
empowerment and awareness. Through spoken word poetry, photography, and
mixed media art, students who have navigated foster care share their
stories of resilience and success. This student-curated event is a
testament to the strength and creativity of our community.



Hosted by the UCR Office of Foster Youth Support Services – Guardian
Scholars program, Voices & Visions is made possible through the support of
Riverside Community College (RCC) Guardian Scholars Program, Moreno Valley
College (MVC) Guardian Scholars Program, Aspiranet, and Olive Crest.



We welcome you to the UCR Arts Center, located at 3824 Main Street,
Riverside, CA. Doors open at 5:30 pm, and the event is free of charge to
all guests. Please note that parking is not included, but public parking is
available in the City of Riverside parking garages 2 and 6. See the
attached map for details and parking fees.



Your presence at Voices & Visions will not only support these talented
artists but also contribute to raising awareness about the experiences of
young people in foster care. We look forward to sharing this uplifting and
heartwarming experience with you.
