We are extending the application deadline through *December 6 *for the
DISQUIET International Literary Program! Experience contemporary Portuguese
literature and workshop your writing this summer with the DISQUIET
International Literary Program in Lisbon. Faculty for 2025 will include
Camille Bordas, Gabriel Bump, Erica Dawson, Emma Copley Eisenberg, John
Keene, Adam Levin, Bruna Dantas Lobato, Cyriaco Lopes, Diana Khoi Nguyen,
and Terri Witek, plus editors from *The Common *and *Granta*, with more TBA.

*The DISQUIET Literary Prize*

Win publication and a full tuition waiver to attend DISQUIET in 2025 by
entering the DISQUIET Literary Prize! This year's contest is for writing in
fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, by a writer who has not yet published a
full-length book. The first prize winners in each genre will be published:

One grand prize winner will receive a full scholarship including tuition,
lodging, and a $1,000 travel stipend to attend DISQUIET in Lisbon in 2025
(June 22-July 4). Genre winners will receive a tuition waiver in addition
to publication.

Winners who are unable to attend the progam in Lisbon may elect to receive
a $1000 cash prize in lieu of the tuition waiver.

*Luso/a-American Fellowships*

Four full fellowships are available for North American writers of Luso
descent to attend DISQUIET in Lisbon. To be eligible for the fellowship,
entrants must be 18 or older by the month in which the program starts (June
2025), and residents of the United States or Canada who have a genealogical
link to a Lusophone country.

Past winners have had roots in such places as the Azores, Brazil, Cape
Verde, Continental Portugal, Goa, Madeira, and elsewhere. Applicants with
ties to any Lusophone countries are welcome to apply. Please don't hesitate
to ask <info at disquietinternational.org> if you have questions about your
eligibility.

Four winners will receive airfare stipend, accommodations, and full tuition
to the DISQUIET Program in Lisbon and a place in our multi-genre workshop
“Writing the Luso Experience." Runners-up will be offered partial tuition
scholarships. There is no fee to apply.
