MFA poet Sara Ellen Fowler has been recognized as an Emerging Artist by the
California Arts Council, receiving the prestigious Individual Artists
Fellowship.
As an Emerging Artist fellow, Fowler will receive a grant of $10,000 to
support her artistic practices. In addition to this honor, Fowler's poetry
manuscript, "Two Signatures," has been awarded the prestigious 2023 Agha
Shahid Ali Prize in Poetry. Currently hard at work crafting her debut
collection of poems, our alum's literary journey is one to watch!
