"*HANDFUL OF GRAVEL*" Written by Juan Felipe Herrera

HANDFUL OF GRAVEL is a live performance of US Poet Laureate Emeritus Juan
Felipe Herrera's poetry about the War in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic.
It features music, dance, voice, and screen imagery created by Herrera with
a cast of performers who include UCR students and faculty. Departing from
previous conceptions of poetry, this production presents poems as dynamic
planes directly entangled in dance transmissions and vocal exchange within
a radical field in global space. It proposes that all things are related
and influence each other.

*Refreshments will be provided.*
