Dear MHHS faculty affiliates,

We're just writing to tell you that the Medical and Health Humanities
Studies (MHHS) minor is up and running. The response from students has been
great so far, and we're hoping to match our course offerings to the student
demand. We are hoping for just 2 quick things:

   1. Please disseminate this Google Form
   <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1xHPRk72Qbw4MWy2ome47hyuvpoweXgSDy97O6bjgN8M/edit>
as
widely as possible to undergraduates so we can get a good sense of the
demand for the MHHS minor. This is essential for our ability to track and
mentor all minors in the program, and exceedingly important to show the
   Dean.
   2. If you're willing to teach the intro course (MHHS 1) or the senior
seminar (MHHS 191) next year, could you let us know and ask the chair of
your department to build that into your upcoming teaching schedules? Fuson
is the only one teaching MHHS 1 right now and Carla is the only one
teaching the senior seminar right now. Fuson has a ready-made syllabus and
lecture videos, so you'd be able to just use as much of that as you'd like
   to get things going quickly.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about MHHS.

Best,
Fuson and Carla (co-directors of the MHHS minor

Matt (director of the medical humanities graduate DE

"We at UCR would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our
responsibility to the original and current caretakers of this land, water,
and air: the Cahuilla, Tongva, Luiseño, and Serrano peoples and all of
their ancestors and descendants, past, present, and future. Today this
meeting place is home to many Indigenous peoples from all over the world,
including UCR faculty, students, and staff, and we are grateful to have the
opportunity to live and work on these homelands."
