Hello Dr. Lutz,


I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to request your assistance
in finding student volunteer mentors for high school students who are
interested in pursuing a career in Creative Writing. As the Director of
Outreach at Project LEAP <https://www.leaptheproject.com/>, I have been
working with local high schools to provide career guidance and mentorship
to students who are interested in pursuing higher education in their
prospective fields.


This mentoring program is 100% virtual, making it more accessible and
convenient for everyone involved. Peer mentors will be able to engage with
high school students through a secure online platform, will gain access to
the Project LEAP network for their own career aspirations, and will be
permitted to participate in all expenses paid in person networking events
throughout the year.


To ensure that these students receive the best possible guidance, we are
seeking volunteer mentors who meet the following criteria:

   - A GPA of at least 2.8
   - Completed 60 semester units
   - Interest in helping high school students along their career path in
   Creative Writing


Mentors play a crucial role in helping high school students make informed
decisions about their future academic and career choices. As such, we are
looking for individuals who are passionate about their field and who are
willing to commit a small amount of time each month to help mentor these
students.


*The time commitment required of mentors will be no more than 10 hours per
month, and mentors will be able to choose their own schedule.*


If you know of any students who meet these criteria and who would be
interested in volunteering as a mentor, I would greatly appreciate it if
you could share this information with them. They can submit their name and
email here <https://www.leaptheproject.com/jointheteam> and our system will
take them through the automated application process. I have also attached a
brief infographic about us.
