Greetings from the Stony Brook MFA Program in Creative Writing & Literature

I’m writing to let you and, if possible, your students know that we will be
having a virtual Open House on Thursday, November 3, at 7pm for anyone
interested in finding out more about our program

Members of our faculty, administration, and staff will be there to talk,
among other things, about how the degree is organized (we encourage
experimentation and don’t track according to genre), the three locations
where students take and teach classes (Southampton, Manhattan, and Stony
Brook), and the overall spirits of creativity and common endeavor that
prevail here (we are not the English Department; it’s more like an extended
writers’ colony with a degree).
