Exceptional opportunities on Friday and Saturday!
Come join us for our California Native Artists event. We will have a lively
discussion in the Round Room (INTS-1111) with some of the artists featured
in the current exhibit at the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts
and Crafts: E'kwa'shem Mu chemkai Towük Hiüvanyüsn *We Are Still Here*.
Weshoyot Alvitre, Gerald Clarke, and L Frank Manriquez will share their
artistic processes and discuss how the title of the exhibit, *We Are Still
Here*, impacts, resonates, and affects their work.

*We at UCR would like to respectfully acknowledge and recognize our
responsibility to the original and current caretakers of this land, water,
and air: the Cahuilla [ka-wee-ahh], Tongva [tong-va], Luiseño
[loo-say-ngo], and Serrano [se-ran-oh] peoples and all of their ancestors
and descendants, past, present, and future. Today this meeting place is
home to many Indigenous peoples from all over the world, including UCR
faculty, students, and staff, and we are grateful to have the opportunity
to live and work on these homelands.*
