Hi!



My name is Jayo Kuo and I am a student editor at Matchbox Magazine, an annual UC-wide literary and visual arts publication. I am reaching out to you today because we are currently accepting undergraduate submissions for our 17th edition (prose, poetry, visual art, music, and spoken word). Submissions at a glance:

  *   We will be accepting submissions from now until 2/14/2023 (limited to UC undergraduates)
  *   Submissions can be sent directly to matchboxmagazine at gmail.com<mailto:matchboxmagazine at gmail.com> or by using the QR code in either attachment
  *   All schools represented in our magazine will receive copies of our 17th edition to be circulated among their student body



Matchbox is a wonderful opportunity for students who have not been previously published to receive recognition for their work. Last year, we received approximately 600 total submissions thanks to our contacts at UC Riverside, ultimately enabling us to represent the collective artistry of UC undergraduates in our 16th edition. We hope to have a large presence of UCR undergraduates in this year's issue, and believe we can make that happen with your help!



I have attached submission fliers below and would greatly appreciate it if you could virtually distribute them to your students via email or Discords/Slacks! In addition, I humbly ask that you consider forwarding this information directly to your students or include it in their newsletters and email bulletins– this would benefit our cause immensely. Lastly, I would value your direction on any other resources on the UC Riverside campus that could help spread the word (student organizations, faculty, newsletters, and more).
