Hi all,
We didn’t have a faculty meeting today so that we could attend the very successful 2nd annual SoCal Plant Biology meeting.   We have 3 items that need a vote, so I request that you vote on these electronically by 5 pm tomorrow.  I am sorry for the short notice.

1. Cross listing of EEOB Forest Ecology course.  See attached for details.  The UEAC has recommended that we cross list the course.

2.  Cross listing of BPSC184, Planning For A Postgraduate Career in Life Sciences, with ENT.  They have requested that we allow them to cross list it, and the UEAC has recommended this, as it will allow for a more regular enrollment.

3.  Minor word change in description of BPSC184.

Current description (last sentence):  Emphasizes careers in the plant sciences, biotechnology, and related areas through presentations by professionals representing a variety of educational levels and careers.

Proposed change:

Emphasizes careers in the agricultural sciences, biotechnology, and related areas through presentations by professionals representing a variety of educational levels and careers.
