Last call for requests to move equipment into the equipment room.  I need to provide the contractor with the electrical outlet needs today, so they can get installed in time to move equipment before the elevator outage.

A few updates and requests for information:

1.  The new equipment room on the 2nd floor of Batchelor (room 2163) will be ready to move equipment into in early July.  It is now time to determine what equipment will be moved into the room.  Priority will be given to equipment that is or was in a hallway, as we will no longer be allowed to have any equipment in public corridors, but there will be space to accommodate other equipment as well.

It is important that you provide electrical needs (110/208V and what type of outlet will be needed (eg NEMA 10-20, 5-15, etc), as the appropriate receptacles will need to be installed.  If you need help determining this, please contact Matt Ulrich (matthew.ulrich at ucr.edu).  This information is needed as soon as possible, so please complete your request by Friday Jun 30.

2.  We need to decide if we will relocate any of the growth chambers in Batchelor (most or all are in the 3rd floor corridor outside the elevator.  I don’t think they are being used, and most have not been used for a long time.   Construction will need to move these soon, and I am not sure it is necessary to move them to the equipment room.  If you have any knowledge about these chambers (do they work, have recently used or plan to use, etc), please let me know as soon as possible.  We will arrange for them to be sent to surplus if no one is interested in using them.

3.  There will be a crane at the loading dock Friday June 23.  Please move all vehicles to the back of lot 11 by Thursday evening.
