Hi everyone,  I am forwarding the proposal for a new Genetics and Biotechnology major.   The document includes all the new courses being proposed.  You have seen some of these already, but we did not vote on them.  You have not yet seen the proposals for GNBT 100 and 130.

Please send comments to Dave Nelson, committee chair.  We will vote on this at a faculty meeting Dec 11.

Dear Patty,

Please find our committee’s proposal in the attached document. We would appreciate it if you can distribute this to the department for consideration and a vote of approval in the not-distant future. Upon approval, we will be able to reach out to potential affiliated faculty, departments whose courses we may use, and seek letters of support from other departments, Deans, the VC, and outside institutions. At that point, we will be submitting the package to Mayela Giron for processing and routing through CNAS EC, etc. Mayela would like this in hand by mid-December, which I realize may not be possible.
