[Corebotanyfaculty] Faculty meeting tomorrow

Hi all,  I hope you have had a relaxing holiday weekend.  We are scheduled to meet with Provost Watkins tomorrow at 2 pm in Batchelor 2158.  I haven’t prepared anything formal for discussion, as I’ve kind of been expecting that she may cancel, given the strike situation.  But as of now, the meeting is still on.  I’d like the discussion to focus on what the department needs to maintain excellence (or alternatively, what the impediments are).  I can start it off, but I hope that many of you will be willing to give  your opinions in the discussion.
