This change will improve security by disabling external secure shell (SSH) access to vHost websites from off-campus networks. <b>Services should continue to run as normal during the change window, however, moving forward this change requires a process modification for website managers.</b> Once the change is implemented, users attempting to gain backend access to a vHost site will be required to do so while connected to the campus VPN. (For instructions on how to install the VPN, <a href="https://ucrsupport.service-now.com/ucr_portal/?id=kb_article&sys_id=fb8ada4f1b93d01063c62fc02a4bcb07">please read this article in the Knowledge Base</a>.) <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#393B41'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#393B41'>Again, this change is needed to better secure campus systems and data, and only impacts backend users of vHost websites.
