This project is in collaboration and partnership with the Office of Chicano Student Programs and Dra. Diamond Bravo as we are trying to capture the story of Chicano Student Programs Mural that has been with the center for nearly 50 years. We have invited the nephew and son of the artist, Philip and Greg Gonzales, to give us a brief history about the mural of Chicano Student Programs and a testimonio of the artist that cannot be found within archives of the university. Given that it is the 50th anniversary of Chicano Student Programs, the purpose of this meeting is to have a conversation with Philip and Greg Gonzales and with CSP Staff about the CSP mural to recover history that has been purposely lost.

Stop by the Centro to pick up testing materials, coffee and snacks. You can also use the computer lab, print, take a nap, study or connect with your peers and staff. Chicano Student Programs is located 145 Costo Hall and open M-F from 8am-5pm.

School of Public Policy
The UCR MPP program in the School of Public Policy are still accepting applications for fall 2022 and have upcoming information sessions for students to learn more about the program. Please refer to attached flyer for more information.

UC Students Association, Grant Opportunity
The UCSA has launched their annual RJN! grant<%20https:/bit.ly/rjngrant22>. This grant is aimed to be an award for community organizations that have achieved outstanding work for the community they identify with, or their campus community in general. The Racial Justice Now! (RJN) Grant's goal is to uplift and empower the marginalized voices that proudly exist within the UC Campuses and beyond; to support them in their racial/ethnic justice advocacy. This grant is one way we intend to carry out that goal. Individuals and organizations may apply this cycle.

The amounts being offered range from $40-5000! Application deadline is May 10th 11:59pm. Please circulate this grant widely to your connections as we are very excited to fund on the ground efforts to empower community through racial justice work. If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to reach out.

GRANT RULES:
Any UC Student may apply.
Money may not be used for travel or food.
Provided budgets are required for organizations to be considered for this grant.
