Hello,

Next Friday, February 16, Jessica Hoover from the University of Minnesota is visiting us. She did her Undergrad at Harvey Mudd, PhD with James Mayer and Forrest Michael at the University of Washington, and Postdoc with Shannon Stahl in Wisconsin. Now, her group focuses in the study of the mechanism of homogeneous organometallic reactions with particular interest in catalytic redox reactions in which bond-breaking and -forming steps occur along with oxidation or reduction steps. Much like my lab, her group works in the interface between organic and inorganic chemistry to develop new reactions, and synthesize and characterize organometallic intermediates.
