[Chemistry_faculty] Allyson Fry-Petit - Schedule

Hello everyone,

Next Thursday Allyson Fry-Petit, from CSU Fullerton, will be visiting our department and giving a seminar as part of the inorganic seminar series. Allyson did her graduate studies at The Ohio State University, under Dr. Patrick Woodward, focusing on controlling the ordering of polar building units for designing ferroelectric materials. Subsequently, she worked as a postdoct at Johns Hopkins University in the lab of Dr. Tyrel McQueen, developing new techniques for the analysis of dynamic pair distribution function (DPDF) data.

Her group now works on solid state inorganic synthesis of materials. She also has a big commitment to undergraduate education and has recently developed a CURE-type lab for their general chemistry class. (For more information: http://www.fry-petitlab.com/)
