Dear Colleagues,
Prof. Latha Venkataraman (Columbia University) will be giving our
departmental colloquium on Wednesday, October 25 at 4pm in BRNHL A125.
Latha is the Lawrence Gussman Professor at Columbia University and is
jointly appointed between the Applied Physics and Chemistry departments.

Latha is a pioneer in the field of single-molecule electronics. Her current
interests in this area include single-molecule optoelectronics, topological
insulators, quantum interference, and more recently, the role of electric
fields in catalysis--she is leading an NSF CCI in this topic area. You can
find more about Latha's research interests at her website
<https://www.venkataramangroup.org/>. Finally, I want to note that Latha
gives fantastic lectures and has a knack for making difficult physical
concepts very accessible to chemists at large.

Please sign up to meet with Latha here
