Good morning, not sure if you've already received this message. If you
have reports in Cognos that you run occasionally, I would encourage you to
take the survey and indicate which ones are needed to be moved to Looker.
Any questions, please reach out to Patrick Wagman. Complete the survey
by 9/3. Thank you.
Best,
Perla

Subject: Action Needed: Survey to Help Prioritize Cognos Reports for Looker
Migration
To: Perla Fabelo <fabelo at ucr.edu>

Dear Cognos Migration Workgroup,

As we mentioned in the kickoff meeting, we need your help making sure we
migrate the right reports in the right order.

We've identified about 860 existing Cognos reports across Student (broken
into subgroups like Admissions, Advising, Registrar, and others), Financial
Aid, Financial Planning, Athletics, and several other business areas. As we
are working on the migration, we're asking departments to weigh in on which
of its reports are still needed and how urgently each one should move to
Looker.

What we're asking:

*Follow this link to the survey:*
Take the Survey

Or copy and paste the URL below into your internet browser:

Please only have one person per department/area complete it. Please
coordinate with others in your department and submit one response.

The survey will first ask you to select the business area(s)/subgroup(s)
you can speak to — you'll only see the reports relevant to what you choose.
For each report, you'll choose "Not Needed," or its migration priority
(Critical / High / Medium / Low) if it should still be kept.

A note on time: how long the survey will take varies a lot depending on how
many reports are in your area(s) — some are quick, while a few subgroups
(particularly within Student) have more reports and are split across
several pages. The survey supports Save & Continue, so you don't need to
finish in one sitting.

Please complete the survey by 9/3/26.

Questions? Please let me know.

Thanks for helping make this migration a success.
