[Chancellor-news] Nov. 3 General Election & Time Off to Vote

Good morning Colleagues,

Please be advised that Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 is the General Election and polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

If you are scheduled to work during these times and you do not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote during the statewide election, you are eligible to take up to two hours of paid time off to vote. If you need additional time off to vote you may utilize your accrued leave hours.

Your time off for voting can only be at the beginning or end of your regular work shift unless other arrangements are made with your supervisor. If you will need to utilize this paid time off, please be sure to notify your supervisor by October 29th, 2020.

Additionally, if you are a non-exempt employee who will be taking time off to vote, please be sure to code this time in your TARS timesheet as follows:
