Free, open to all, and closed captioned... Join us Friday, Feb 19, 4pm for a conversation with Bamby Salcedo, “Madrina de honor” for the ¡Presente! Conference - un espacio for our QT* community. Bamby is a national and international transgender Latina Woman who completed her master’s degree in Latino/a Studies. Bamby is the President and CEO of the TransLatin@ Coalition, a national organization that focuses on addressing the issues of transgender Latinxs in the US. Bamby has served and participated in many local, national and international organizations and planning groups. This work mediates intersections of race, gender, sexuality, age, social class, HIV+ status, immigration status and more.

The ¡Presente! Conference is a collaboration of La Familia de UCR, Chicano Student Programs, and the LGBT Resource Center. It is supported by the Highlander Empowerment Referendum.
