featuring Rachel Cruz, Luis J. Rodriguez, Dr. Virginia Espino and William Nericcio

University of California, Riverside

Initiated in 1988, UC Riverside's annual Rivera Conference honors the enduring legacy of Tomás Rivera, activist, educator, writer, and the first Chicano chancellor of the UC system. Many talks center on race, identity, marginalized voices, and examine the arts and humanities as tools of social change aimed at critiquing the Euro-centric, heteronormative, and patriarchal hierarchies at the heart of so many current national debates.

Featuring Rachel Cruz, Luis J. Rodriguez, Dr. Virginia Espino and William Nericcio.
Alex Espinoza, Tomás Rivera Chair
