<div style="direction: ltr;">The 3rd annual SoCal Plant Biology symposium is taking place
<b><u>Friday, September 27 at UC San Diego</u></b>. This one-day plant biology meeting, which is held annually on different campuses, is intended to enhance interaction and networking amongst Southern California plant biologists, especially among the junior
scientists (including graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and assistant professors). The speaker line up is excellent, including many UCR colleagues, and I hope that you will be able to join us.</div>

<div style="direction: ltr;">Registration is <b>free</b> and the event is free as well. Please send an email to ebobkova@ucsd.edu with a subject line: “Registration-2024 SoCal Plant Biology Day”.
<b>The deadline for registration is September 10, 2024.</b> We need an accurate count of the participants so that we can order the proper amount of food (lunch and refreshments, coffee) for the event.</div>
