Hi everyone,

Would you like to improve your public speaking and presentation skills?
Join us on *Wednesday, April 7th from 12-1 PM (PST)* for a workshop with
Dr. Annika Speer, a public speaking professor at UCR. In this workshop, Dr.
Speer will provide you all the tools you need to deliver organized,
effective, and memorable presentations--an essential skill when sharing
your research at scientific conferences and other events. Topics to be
covered include rhetoric (organization, structure, and impact), using
visual aids effectively, and making memorable choices in delivery.

All are welcome, however the workshop will be focused on creating short,
impactful GradSlam-style research talks--so if you are presenting at the
upcoming EcoSlam on April 22nd, this a great opportunity to learn about
what elements go into a winning talk.
