Here is part of the job description:

Under the general direction of the Assistant City Manager/Chief Sustainability Officer, the Sustainability Manager will strategically plan, direct, develop and manage the execution of complex projects and programs related to City-wide initiatives and services related to sustainability; lead projects/programs requiring multi-agency coordination efforts and partnerships.

The Sustainability Manager will play a critical role in the development, implementation and monitoring of several transformative efforts underway in 2024 including a Climate Action and Adaption Plan, Zero Emission Vehicle Transition Plan, capital projects like the LEED Gold Museum expansion, the Northside Ag Innovation Center, Citywide Tree Inventory, organic waste diversion program, co-digestion project, Eastside Climate Collaborative Transformative Climate Community project and many more. The Sustainability Manager will also collaborate and support all City efforts advancing sustainability and environmental stewardship.
