The Museum of Riverside (formerly Riverside Metropolitan/Municipal Museum) hosts and array of fascinating local speakers on the first Friday of every month at 6:30 pm. Food and drinks available for purchase.

Presentations are held downstairs at Back to the Grind Coffeehouse, an eclectic art and music venue on University between Orange and Lemon. Located between the W, Raincross, and Pixels.
Plenty of free parking downtown after 5pm. Here is the announcement for the next speaker, a marine mammologist from the University of Redlands.  She and her husband have a dive tour company called Life Aquatic Expeditions.
