*TALK DESCRIPTION*

Direct from the Frank and Joan Randall Preserve at the Tehachapi Mountains,
Andrew Clare will provide insight on the stewardship and scientific efforts
that go into managing The Nature Conservancy’s largest property in
California. We will discuss the impact of TNC’s ambitious connectivity
project to the region and what compels nature lovers like himself to the
Preserve- all while sharing his experiences with field biology and
appreciation of unique natural spaces.

*BIO*

Andrew Clare is a Stewardship Coordinator with The Nature Conservancy and a
lifelong proponent of taking the scenic route. With a background, working
in the background, of projects from the Great Lakes to the West Coast—he
has enjoyed the wide world of field work and project management that a
degree in biology offers (shout-out: Central Michigan University!) His
pastimes include harvesting responsibly from nature, watersports, or
traveling anywhere from his home base of Tehachapi, CA.
