*February 13, 3-4pm General Discussion, 4-? RefreshmentsBatchelor Hall 2138*

Happy New Year Center for Conservation Biology Faculty,

I hope 2024 treats us all well! Without question, the past few years have
been some of the most challenging we have faced individually and as a
community. Now that we have reached a new semblance of normality, we are
taking the opportunity to imagine the next phase of the CCB. How can
the CCB best
let us all reach our ongoing quest to continue leading world-class
ecological research and contribute to conservation of ecological
communities, ecosystems, and processes? The Center for Conservation Biology
wants to relaunch efforts to facilitate, spearhead, and communicate
research by helping to organize amongst all of us.

This coming year we are embarking on a strategizing phase looking to
develop a long-range plan and short-term strategies to lay out a roadmap
for the Center. In kicking this off, I want to have an open forum for
discussion and listening on how CCB could be of the greatest help.

Agenda:
Brief (re)introduction to CCB
Vision for coming year
Open roundtable for how to make our center more effective in helping us
grow our international excellence
