Hi folks,
  The call for the Mayhew Graduate Research Award is now live for 2024.  Please share with anyone eligible and interested, especially UCR graduate students with project at Deep Canyon.  Below is a brief description of the award and I’m attaching the full announcement and application form.

Mayhew Graduate Research Award for Boyd Deep Canyon
2024

Apply now for a research funding. Mayhew Graduate Research Awards are available to any student conducting research at Boyd Deep Canyon Desert Research Center and enrolled in an accredited college or university. Applications will also be considered for project conducted in nearby areas such as Joshua Tree National Park, the Coachella Valley, or the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains.  The funding is intended for field-based activities and cannot be used to support activities primarily conducted on campus.

Applications with all supporting material included are due electronically by March 8, 2024, and awards will be announced by April 1, 2024. The review criteria that the selection panel will be using are listed below. The maximum award given is $2000. Please submit applications and supporting materials electronically to Dr. Chris Tracy at tracyc at ucr.edu<mailto:tracyc at ucr.edu>.

Deadline for the application and all supporting material is March 8, 2024
