vPre-Professional Advising

To be sure your undergraduate planning is complete with strategies as to how
you plan to satisfy teaching-related courses and admissions and employment
requirements, please be sure you have created/updated an SMI Program

vReimbursement Programs <http://smi.ucr.edu/reimbursement.html.> 

Satisfying State mandated teaching examinations and purchasing lesson plan
materials to conduct effective and engaging science/mathematics classroom
experiments can be costly.  Recognizing these challenges, SMI is, once
again, offering opportunities to reimburse SMI students for:

o   CBEST & CSET exams' registration fees

o   Classroom instructional supplies

vStudent Lounge Area

Within the SMI Resource Center, there is a spacious area for students to
convene, study, and network with each other.  White boards and laptops are
readily available for students to access.  WiFi is also accessible.

 

vOnline Resources

o   Laptops readily available for SMI, EDUC 3, and EDUC 4 students to access
online materials, including SMI Portal.

o   Lesson Plans: Network with other professional teachers and STEM lesson
