LAUC-R Program Committee presents:

K-12 Information Illiteracy: An Opportunity for Convergence

Thursday, January 21, 2009

 1:00 p.m.

Orbach Science Library, Room 240

(at UCR)

Featuring Glen Warren, Media Resource Services Coordinator

Orange County Office of Education

Glen Warren is actively involved in creating the new California School
Library Standards for Students, detailing what students at each grade level
need to be able to do to find, retrieve, and evaluate information. He is
enthusiastic about educating the next generation, and also enthusiastic
about libraries. We hope you will join us for a discussion of how and why
academia should be involved with these K-12 standards.
