Golden Key Math Scholarships

 

 

 

Postmark Deadline:              April 1, 2009

 

Description:                           This award recognizes members who
excel in the study of math.

 

Scholarships Available:        Two scholarships at $1,000 each

 

Eligibility:                              Those eligible are undergraduate
members majoring in math who are currently enrolled in classes at a
degree-granting program at the time of award notification.

 

Criteria:                                 Academic achievement in field,
quality of paper submitted. 

 

Application requirements:

 

1. Follow the instructions to Register Your Scholarship Application
(http://www.goldenkey.org/GKIHS/MemberBenefits/ScholarshipsandAwards/Registe
rYourScholarshipApplication/).

 

2. Print out the cover page from the online registration and use it as a
cover for your entire application.

 

3. Attach the following required documentation:

 

o       A math related paper/report you have prepared. The submission must
not exceed 10 pages of text.

o       An essay no more than 500 words describing the assignment for
writing the paper, what the greatest challenge was in writing the paper,
what lessons were learned from completing the assignment, and if you were to
rewrite the report, what would be changed.

o       A letter of recommendation from a professor in the discipline. 

o       A current and comprehensive official academic transcript
