SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTION LEADER

$12.18/hour

THE LEARNING CENTER is seeking highly qualified, upper-division students to
be Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders beginning FALL 2009 in the
following courses:

*	

	MATH 4, 5,8AB, 9ABC,10A,22,46
*	

	CHEM 1ABC, 112ABC
*	

	BIOL 5ABC, BCH 100
*	

	PHYS 2ABC, ECON 2,3

Help other UCR students develop the attitudes, habits, and skills necessary
for academic success

Build professional relationships with professors, UCR staff, and other SI
Leaders

Develop the attitudes and skills for leadership and professionalism

 

SI Leader requirements:

*	

	* Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA
	
*	

	* Minimum 3.3 GPA in subject area
	
*	

	* Available to work 10-19 hrs/wk

SI Leader responsibilities:

*	

	* Attend lectures
	
*	

	* Prepare for and lead weekly SI sessions
	
*	

	* Meet regularly with professors / TAs
	
*	

	* Participate in SI Leader training
	
*	

	* Participate in Peer Educator Core Practicum
