Teach California Charters is a consortium of
charter schools and networks throughout
California, organized to recruit and select
outstanding teachers for positions in the Bay
Area and Los Angeles. We expect to place at least
100 teachers within the participating charter
school networks for the 2008-2009 school year.
Teach California Charters recruits both
traditionally credentialed teachers and
individuals without backgrounds in education. We
greatly value the energy, experience and
dedication brought to our campuses by both
experienced credentialed teacher candidates and
successful professionals and recent college
graduates who wish to enter the field of teaching through this program.
Teach California Charters teachers will join a
committed community of educators who will bring
their knowledge, experience, and drive to ensure
that all students achieve rigorous academic goals
and are prepared for successful futures in
college and beyond. New teachers will be
introduced to their particular schools model and
instructional initiatives before and as the
school year begins. New teachers will also
participate in specialized professional
development opportunities throughout the school year.
