[Carlit] March Question of the Month

We send out a global email message to those who have campus email addresses (faculty and staff) and to our adult degree completion students (because we have a group email for that group).
There is a "ticker" on the university web site that we use from time to time.
We also use the old fashioned print media for our traditional undergraduate on campus students - weekly news brief and monthly student newspapers.
Most of our classes (on-campus and on-line) use an "eCompanion" that allows for some pushing of information, but we have not used it much as yet.

Subject: [Carlit] March Question of the Month
Hello CARL-ITers
It seems there is still a teeny bit of March left in which to get out the Question of the Month.
I am really torn because I have so many...but I think I will go with:
How do you use technology to communicate with your users (patrons, faculty, students whatever)?
I am assuming that we all have Web sites, but I want to know if you use any sort of push technology and/or blogs, discussion groups, or anything else to communicate with your users, and how it is working out for you? If you have any generally useful tips, we would love to see them.
(I am playing a dirty trick by making the reply-to address the list, but please feel free to email me personally instead if that makes you more comfortable)
Michele
