Hi Norm!



Hope you’re doing well. I have some slightly unfortunate news for you – it
looks like the Library double booked us! They’ll need to occupy the Main
Community Room on Friday, May 2nd at night. So, instead, they have offered
to move our event upstairs to the third floor of the library where they
have a reading room equipped with a large TV screen to do the talk instead.
With it being last minute I think this is our only viable option and I hope
it doesn’t impact your talk too much! I’ll endeavor to have a lectern or
similar up there and we’ll have a computer set up with the TV ready to
display. We’ll arrange the seating up there as best we can and the nice
thing is that the library will be closed at that time so it won’t be too
noisy up there. We’ll have a library staff member with us to help get folks
into the building and to the room upstairs. So I’m sorry it won’t be ideal
but I think it will still be a very workable solution and at least I know
the talk content will be great regardless! We’ll continue spreading the
word on our end (including the attached flyer you’re welcome to spread
around UCR) but if you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
