<p>We are reaching out on behalf of the <a href="https://campusgroups.calbridge.org/click?email_links_id=3022&member_id=11664480" target="_blank">Cal-Bridge Doctoral Program</a> to share information about the opportunities available to Cal-Bridge scholars pursuing doctoral studies in STEM fields and to encourage consideration of Cal-Bridge scholars during your upcoming admissions cycle. The Cal-Bridge Doctoral Program is designed to support scholars pursuing PhDs in STEM fields. Any current Cal-Bridge Scholar or alum who matriculates into a UC PhD program starting in 2027-28 will come with a $40,000 Cal-Bridge Fellowship* that the department can use to support the scholar’s study and academic development under <a href="https://campusgroups.calbridge.org/click?email_links_id=3023&member_id=11664480" target="_blank">these guidelines</a>. This crucial funding enables UC scholars to dedicate themselves more fully to their studies and research at an earlier stage in their doctoral journey, providing a strong foundation for their academic and professional growth. This <a href="https://campusgroups.calbridge.org/click?email_links_id=3024&member_id=11664480" target="_blank">Doctoral Program one-pager</a> outlines all the benefits of admitting a Cal-Bridge scholar to your PhD program.</p>
<p>We would be grateful if you kept this in mind as you begin identifying candidates for your next entering class. We ask our scholars to note their eligibility for the fellowship in their application materials. We will follow up in January with a list of doctoral programs to which our scholars intend to apply.</p>
