Hi!

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Re’Nyqua Farrington, and I’m
reaching out on behalf of the Black Graduate Student Association (BLK GSA)
at UCR. As part of our mission to support Black graduate students across
campus, we’re sharing a few resources that we hope will be helpful to you
and your department.

Attached to this email, you’ll find:

   1.

   BLK GSA Fall Quarter Events – A flyer outlining our upcoming events
   which includes our General Meetings where students can connect with each
   other and build community and our Research Kickbacks where students can
   work in space to give and get feedback for ongoing research.
   2.

   BLK GSA Mentorship Program Flyer – A flyer outlining our mentorship
   program, which connects first and second-year Black graduate students with
   more advanced Black graduate students.

We’d greatly appreciate it if you could share these materials with the
graduate students in your department.

Additionally, we welcome opportunities to partner with departments on
programming or student support initiatives. If your department is working
on ways to enhance support for Black students, BLK GSA would be glad to
collaborate or provide input.
