[Bphystudent] Important Announcement: Departure of Marlene Garcia and Transition of Responsibilities

Dear BPHY Faculty, Students, and STAT Business Office -

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of an important change within the CNAS Graduate Student Affairs Center. Marlene Garcia, who has been an invaluable member of our team and has served as the Student Services Advisor for the Statistics, Biophysics, and CMDB programs, will be departing from her role on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Marlene has accepted a new position as a Student Services Advisor with BCOE, where she will be overseeing their MS program in Computer Science. We are immensely grateful for Marlene's dedication, hard work, and the significant impact she has made on our programs and the students she has supported. Please join me in congratulating Marlene on her new endeavors, and we wish her all the best in her future role.

As we move forward, we have initiated the hiring process for Marlene's position, and we aim to have a new Student Services Advisor in place by July. In the meantime, please reach out to me directly, as I will be the point of contact and support person for Marlene's programs during this transition period. You may find my contact information along with my calendar booking link in the signature of this message.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. We are committed to ensuring a smooth handover of responsibilities and maintaining the high level of support and service that you have come to expect from Marlene and the GSAC team.
